How we work

We are here to facilitate genuine exchanges with organisations, businesses and individuals looking for creative thinking like no other.

This means our process is a little different and embodies our key values throughout:

We expect our partners to be:

  • Open to challenge and new perspectives

  • Transparent about where they’re at and what they need

  • Respectful of the multifaceted expertise and commitments our team and community hold

Key Shared Values:

  • Genuine co-creation

  • Embedding of care and access

  • Championing of lived experience

  • Paying people well for their time and skills

We are serious about the care & wellbeing of young creatives

It is our core belief that young people are experts on their own lives and experiences and that it is time for us to be listened to.

There is no value in doing the work if it happens without care and compassion. We are challenging systemic injustice in much of our work: we’re not only fighting for young people to be respected and listened to, we’re also fighting racism, sexism, classism, ableism, nationalism (and everything else that blocks the path to genuine equity). That takes a toll.

So, we spend a lot of time thinking about and making space for wellbeing adjustments. Anyone who works with us is supported pastorally and professionally. We actively encourage people to take the time off or time out that they need to live their best lives. If something happens that affects the mental health or wellbeing of any of our community members, we act.

Because we’re an agency of young people for young people, we’re credible, plugged-in and ahead of the curve. It also allows us to be authentically responsive and reflective.

We don’t always get everything right, but we are energised by the opportunities to challenge ourselves, to learn and to grow.
